Mobile prostheses, unlike fixed prostheses, are most often used to correct irregularities at a younger age, usually between six and 12 years. If diagnosed in time, mobile prosthesis therapy can significantly reduce or even completely correct orthodontic anomalies. Depending on the diagnosis, therapy with a mobile prosthesis lasts from six months to two years.
Wearing a mobile prosthesis prevents possible complications in the elderly and shortens the subsequent treatment with a fixed prosthesis. This is why oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist at an early age are of great importance. Mobile prostheses help children to have proper contact between their teeth, which makes it easier to chew food and encourages the correct pronunciation of certain sounds, which is very important for a school-age child. These prostheses are designed to be removable, so children can easily put them away when eating or brushing their teeth. They are much more flexible for their age compared to fixed prostheses.
In addition to correcting irregularities, they also have aesthetic benefits, but what is most important, they contribute to the achievement of healthy dental development as a key prerequisite for children's oral health later on.
